School visits to the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery | Len Lye Centre and Puke Ariki have become easier, thanks to support from TOI Foundation for a subsidised education bus service.

The Gallery, in partnership with Puke Ariki and with the generous support of TOI Foundation, can provide subsidised bus transport for eligible primary and secondary schools across the Taranaki region, to help remove barriers to students' access to and participation in education programmes at the Gallery and Museum.

The subsidy is calculated on the Ministry of Education Equity Index (EQI) and distance from our institutions - schools with an EQI greater than 460 are eligible. The subsidy is available for Tranzit’s 20 and 40-seater buses.

The buses may be booked for a visit to the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery/Len Lye Centre, Puke Ariki, or for a rotation of programmes between the two.

Each class from an eligible school can utilise the subsidy once a year and pre-approval must be given prior to booking with Tranzit - see our education page to find out how to access the support.
