About
This work is from a series of plank works by Ian McMillan. Before being painted, they were ceiling boards from colonial villas demolished in Auckland. McMillan has given them new life by painting on associations with nature, as well as cultural references. His fluffy zigzag lines of cumulus clouds and smudged ripples of green rainforest are examples of this.
