PLAN A VISIT

The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery building is currently closed for up to two years to enable work on earthquake strengthening, deferred maintenance and renewals and construction of the Len Lye Centre.

The Govett-Brewster team will be active during the two years with off-site projects, touring exhibitions, public programmes and collaborations with other cultural organisations throughout Taranaki and New Zealand.

Until the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery reopens in 2015 as a combined facility with the Len Lye Centre, you can contact the administration team at:

The Govett-Brewster is easy to locate by car, foot and public transport. Whether travelling from the north or south, arriving from the airport, coming from the Wind Wand or elsewhere, a visit to the Govett-Brewster is a must. More »


ART & DESIGN SHOP

The Govett-Brewster's Art and Design Shop is now online where you can easily purchase Govett-Brewster publications, editions, notecards, merchandise and Len Lye merchandise. The Gallery shop will reopen on Queen St in 2015 as part of the new Govett-Brewster/Len Lye Centre combined facility. More »

CAFE GOVETT-BREWSTER

Located adjacent to the Art & Design Shop in the foyer of the Govett-Brewster, the contemporary light-filled café offers menu and counter food and locally roasted coffee to sustain your visit, open seven days a week. More »

 

GROUP VISITS

Public events in the Govett-Brewster, which often incorporate tours of a specific location, are held every Sunday. Groups can book a private guided tour by contacting the Govett-Brewster. More »
