The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery will be closed for up to two years to enable work on earthquake strengthening, deferred maintenance and renewals and the construction of the Len Lye Centre. The Govett-Brewster team will be very active during the two years with off-site projects, touring exhibitions, public programmes and collaborations with other cultural organisations throughout Taranaki and New Zealand. During this transitional period, staff will be planning and preparing for the 2015 opening of the new combined facility.
