New Zealand artist Maddie Leach produces projects that aim to innovate by setting place, time and audience into complex arrangements and process-oriented relationships. A graduate of the University of Canterbury Sculpture department in the early nineties, her practice is now closely aligned to conceptual strategies yet maintains a delicate attachment to material and formal propositions.
Leach is Senior Lecturer at Massey College of Creative Arts, Wellington and is the 2011-2012 New Zealand Artist in Residence at Govett-Brewster.
